OUR HISTORY

John and his family lived here for many years and after John passed in 1879, his wife Ann ran the home as a guest house until1926. This same homestead is now the centrepiece of a 26 villa waterfront hotel and resort, and fabulous ‘1856’ Bar & Bistro.

The Resort today accommodates people from all over the world. With our co-inhabitants, the Little Penguins, we extend to all our guests a private Penguin Tour on the Resort property, included in every Villa package.
